Alien Cupcakes

My boys were so excited to see them come alive.

What you’ll need:
1 yellow cake mix
Eggs, oil and water to make mix
White frosting
Blue sprinkles
Green frosting
Black or brown frosting
Orange frosting or orange M&Ms

Bake cupcakes according to package directions. Once cooled, frost with white frosting and immediately dip/roll in blue sprinkles. (The kids can do this part.) Using the white frosting, a pastry bag and a large star tip, make a swirl in the center of each cupcake. Using the pastry bag and a circle tip, pipe the alien’s head on the side of the swirl. Add the face. (I let the kids tell me how they wanted the faces – hence the squiggly smiles and off-set eyes.) Then, with the orange frosting, we added the landing lights.
